What our Staff Say

Meghan O’Leary

“Hello my name is Meghan. I have worked for misty croft since finishing my degree in Apr 2017. Having initial started my career with misty croft as a relief worker, then into a social care worker role and now I am the team leader of one of the units. This was made possible from the support and encouragement from my colleagues who helped me grow and adapt in my role. What I really love about working for Misty croft is that each person on the team is a valuable member of the unit. We all support each other, this is done through team meetings, handovers and supervisions. We work with such a diverse group of young people who teach us daily. There is great progression prospects for those who wish to further their career. Along with great opportunities to learn new things. It has been a pleasure to work with the group of young people we work with and I look forward to my future with misty croft.

Farida Baba

I began working in Misty Croft as a social care worker, and have progressed to a social care team leader. Working with young people is very rewarding, particularly working with our clientele as they can have a diverse set of needs, and attributes. On a daily basis, you are met with challenges and opportunities to grow and learn. I have learned so much during my time here, both from the young people and the staff team I work with.

Ruth Lacey

I joined the Misty Croft team in 2009 as a social care worker, then later progressed to a team leader and now I am a manager. Throughout my time here I can honestly say no day is ever the same, the clientele we work with are unique and we as a team learn from them on a daily basis. There are always opportunities to grow and learn in Misty Croft, we are a well-established team with a very strong supportive ethos. Despite being here for over 15 years I am not the longest serving member of staff which I think says a lot about us a team!
