About Us
At Misty Croft, we pride ourselves with providing high quality care to young people seeking international protection. We are a needs led, child centred service that values care, health, integration, education and independence.
In Misty Croft, we apply a care framework that guides all stages of a young person’s journey from their entry until they leave us. This framework is used in the development of individual placement plans for each young person. We focus on the basic needs first and strive to meet these, while placing the young person at the centre of decisions and including them throughout the process.
Our model of care
Our teams work from the framework of CHIEI- where we promote care, health, integration, education and independence. Due to the nature of referrals that come to Misty Croft, we deal with a largely diverse and differing cultural mix within our homes. While we strive to promote cultural norms, we also encourage young people to maintain their own identity and culture. A large portion of work is focused on integration into Irish society, cultural norms and expectations. In Misty Croft, we apply a care framework that guides all stages of a young person’s journey from their entry until they leave us.
